CGI Programming with Perl, 2nd Edition By Scott Guelich, Shishir Gundavaram, Gunther Birznieks 2nd Edition July 2000 Chapter 6 of the Second Edition of this book covers SSI, HTML::Template, and devotes 15 pages (pp 141-160) to version 1 of Embperl. It includes information on using Embperl within CGI scripts, mod_perl, and using Embperl as a CGI tool itself. The chapter covers basic Embperl syntax, Meta-commands, Embperl Tables, and Global Variables. It includes a worked out example of a dynamic web site displaying recent news items which includes web-based administrative interface using Embperl for adding, deleting, and creating new stories.
